Huh??

All settings are proper as to the HELP button and a box about 8 inches away is reading 27 to 29 inches. FAIL. On a longer distance it is reading 46 to 60 inches without me moving. What gives??? And now I see on the first screen that this for
"Entertainment ONly" Nice way to rip people...I mean make money.
